Medgar Evers
(1925-1963)
Medgar Evers was one of the most signifigant protesters for Civil Rights. He managed and lead many marches, and arrested many times for it. He helped the African Americans to get their rights, but he was not alive when it happened. He was shot in the back on his way home for a meeting for another march. He was 37 year old. With all that he did, he got the attention for the president (John F. Kennedy) to help to get their rights. I, myself, would like to say thank you to him for being a part of something bigger in life.
